Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in Central America, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing market in Central America saw interesting trends among the top apps on the Android platform. Here’s a look at how these apps performed based on data from Sensor Tower.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, culminating at around 159K by the end of June. Weekly active users fluctuated, starting at approximately 12.6M and ending the quarter at around 11.9M.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady climb in downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at nearly 140K in the last week of June. Active user numbers showed a similar pattern, starting at 6.4M and closing at about 6.4M.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares had a varied download trend, reaching a high of 124K in early April and ending at a similar level. Active users increased from approximately 2.7M to 2.8M by the quarter's end.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash saw an upward trajectory in downloads, hitting a peak of 95K in early June. Active users also rose from 1M to over 1.2M.

Finally, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver experienced a steady increase in active users, starting at 1.1M and reaching around 1.5M. Downloads were more varied, peaking at 85K in late May.
